Broken Arrow Variscite Necklace
Variscite is a close cousin of turquoise but much rarer. It includes chromium, which gives it a lovely range of green hues. This gorgeous, medium-green oblong stone is sourced from the Broken Arrow mine in Nevada's Candelaria Mining District. It features cream accents and a high-gloss shine (think minty ice cream melting in the sun)!
The oblong bezel is 925 silver and features notched edges and hand-etched tick marks. The pendant is strung on a graduated mix of micro-faceted turquoise beads ranging across the full spectrum of the turquoise palette — from pale mint and sage green to deep teal, near-black and warm brown. Each bead is unique, with many showing a matrix pattern. Size: 1 1/2" long from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant and 5/8" wide (approx 4 by 1 1/2 cm). Necklace is 17" long including the clasp (approx 42.5 cm).
